Here are a few fun attractions in Wise County:

 

Briar

Population: 5,241

Briar, Texas, borders the beautiful Eagle Mountain Lake. At the lake and Eagle Mountain Park, you’ll find great hiking trails, places for fishing, water skiing, wakeboarding, and relaxing places to enjoy the scenery. 

Briar is a census-designated place, which means it does not have its own municipal government and instead follows only county and state regulations and legislation. Many census-designated places are often rural areas outside of major cities.

Boyd

Population: 1,301

Boyd, Texas, is a rural town in North Texas located 35 miles northwest of Fort Worth. Its community is made up mostly of families and working professionals who commute in and out of the city. 

The small North Texas town describes itself as laid back and great for families looking to settle down and raise their kids.

Paradise

Population: 548

Once the cowboy’s “paradise,” Paradise, Texas, is a small town located 40 miles northwest of Fort Worth, near Bridgeport and Decatur.  Enjoy country living while being near large towns like Bridgeport and Decatur for shopping and activities.

Rhome

Population: 1,813

The city of Rhome, Texas, is located in southeastern Wise County, 25 miles from downtown Fort Worth. The residential community in Rhome is made up of many families and working professionals who commute to Fort Worth. If you’re looking to get out of the city but still stay close enough to commute to work and/or other city events, consider Rhome. 

In Rhome, you will be close to the Texas Motor Speedway, new Tanger Outlets and more.
