Granbury, Texas, sits just off the Brazos River southwest of Fort Worth. Its residents are mostly young professionals and retirees. 

In Granbury, you’ll enjoy the beautiful lakeside and rivershore views, historic attractions, and local shopping.

Pecan Plantation

Population: 6,000

Pecan Plantation is an unincorporated community within Hood County, just southeast of Granbury. Its residents enjoy country club amenities, pecans, parks, access to Lake Granbury, and a friendly, tight-knit community.

Tolar

Population: 600 - 700

Tolar, Texas, offers country living but is still close to city life in Granbury just 10 miles away. If you’re looking for more land and a quiet setting, Tolar would be a good place to settle down. 

Needing a good school for your kids? Tolar Independent School District is a public school district in Tolar that serves both the Tolar and Paluxy community and is rated as “academically acceptable” by the Texas Education Agency.

Lipan

Population: 400

Lipan, Texas, is home to several churches, a local school, library, city park, and Eagle Mountain Farmhouse Cheese Co. The fertile soils brought Lipan’s first settlers and farmers to the area in the mid to late 1800s, and families still put down roots and farm the land today.
